What a bummer for the owner of this Aston Martin DB7 Vantage. I went to the Fairmont Springs Hotel to see if there were any nice cars and I only found this Vantage. The valet parking attendants damaged it when they attempted to park the car. The damage, as seen here, consists of a gaping hole in the front bumper and fender so it won't be cheap to get it fixed. These are made of a composite material, known as SMC (Sheet Moulding Compound). This is a plastic mixture reinforced with fiberglass, pressed under high pressure and temperature. The owner was really bummed about the damage when he came down to inspect it, but also mentioned that it was just an incident. The hotel is liable so their insurance will cover the costs to fix the car.
